Location and Claims
The Nueva Union property consists of one claim totaling about 212 hectares, located adjacent to the east of the Company’s San Timoteo property just northeast of the town of Uruachic. It is subject to the option agreement with Fresnillo PLC.
The Nueva Union property has been covered by Induced Polarization and Magnetic geophysical surveys as well as geological mapping and detailed geochemistry. Drill targets were outlined at the north and south ends of the property but have not yet been tested.
The Nueva Union property is underlain by the uppermost rocks of the Lower Volcanic Sequence that exhibit intense argillic alteration and silicification. These rocks are in contact with the basal unit of the Upper Volcanic sequence, which form steep rhyolitic cliffs along the eastern edge of the property. Several old mine tunnels and shafts occur on the Nueva Union property, but most of these have been deemed too dangerous to enter at the moment.
